"Coins: No Longer a Mystery"
"I considered the coin market pretty much a mystery until I had investigated it with you people. I had bought a book from a conservative publisher and specifically, Swiss America was mentioned as being very high quality firm with high ethical standards and committed to an honest presentation of the collectibles market. In an area where gold has been surrounded by myth and greed, it's hard to find out who's really an authentic dealer. It was an area where I had no experience, so it provoked a phone call and then it became clear to me that without some tangible assets, playing the market, the stock market or the bond market, was riskier. So, I wanted to reduce my risk and have a tangible base in there somewhere. You clearly described the superiority of the collectibles as having their rarity as a prime factor in terms of their valuation. The bullion market would seem to me to be closer to a gold price function, whereas, the rarity value of the collectibles ends up being the most important factor. And as we progress over the years, that rarity value becomes even more important. It's like a built in level of strength that makes the collectibles much more desirable. I had put in an initial amount of somewhere around $25,000 and it has grown--almost doubled, I guess in the last 2 to 3 years. I'm quite satisfied with it."
"Numismatics: A Store of Value"
"I felt that the state of the world economy is so uncertain now, that I needed numismatics as a stable store of value in my portfolio. And I contacted several firms before selecting Swiss America and have certainly not regretted my choice. I've dealt with my broker at Swiss America several years now and their honesty and pledge of service has never been doubted. I'm extremely pleased. I've mentioned it to several friends and others and recommended the firm because of their honesty and trust."
"Coin Performance as Expected"
"I chose collectible gold because of the safety factors. I felt that it would be something that I could use in case of a monetary breakdown--that I would actually have in my hand. I am very satisfied with my purchases and my coins have done pretty much exactly what Swiss America has told me that they would do. Their sales, service and delivery have been excellent. I've referred several of my close friends because I would like to see them participate in what I feel to be an excellent investment."
"The Professionalism Sold Me!"
"I realized the need for the security, particularly facing the changing times that we're in. I feel very, very good about the information that has been furnished by the brokers and the other people. The professionalism and the expert way that they furnished me the information, probably is what really sold me on it. I feel like I was led into a really good thing."
"A Wise Purchase"
"I just heard their number on the radio. I gave them a call, and gave some other ones a call and after I talked to everybody, I compared my notes and I was most happy with Swiss America. The broker I had - I was real pleased with what he had to say and how he handled everything. I got immediate service; everything was delivered on time. I've been doing business with you for some time now and I've always liked the service I've gotten and I like the quality of the product. They're almost matching the stock market across the board, plus I've got a solid asset to them that you don't have in paper. They are a wise purchase."
"Very Glad We Trusted Swiss America"
"My husband is a computer programmer who does Y2K compliancy jobs. When we began to find out about the situation (about what a tiny percentage of our [bank] deposit is actually available) we were scared. Having gone into the Internet and looked around, we came across Swiss America, it sounded good. We were impressed with the Y2KNET.com site and that's why we ended up with Swiss America. We got lots of help from actually about three or four different people from the company. We are very glad that when we first looked into the subject we got all the kinds of information about coins, the history of currency and banking. I didn't really have any expectations at all because we've never bought coins before. They have gone up in value, but if they hadn't, I would have been just as glad to have them. Swiss America does send out regular updates every two weeks and they mention the value of the coins and give little updates. In addition, we've been very impressed with the help we have gotten about broader year 2000 preparation and we trusted Swiss America, so it was a company we were glad to refer them to."
"I Did Need To Diversify"
"This is Tom Buchanan. I began investing with Swiss America a number of years ago mainly because of the direction our economy was going. It was hard to get a read on where you should be investing your assets. One thing I was quite certain of, I did need to diversify--so one direction we did go, because of the ups and downs of the economy--I made the choice to invest in hard assets due to the confidence that I had in Swiss America."
"A Legacy For My Kids-Before or After"
"The representatives at Swiss America are A-1. They've always been free with the information. My coins arrived on time, just like they said they would. They all came in A-1 condition and I've been real proud of every one I have and I still have every one of them. I have not sold any of them and don't intend to. These coins are basically going to be a legacy for my kids-something I can give them before, or they can get it after."
"My Only Regret..."
"To anyone else that is considering investing in gold, I would recommend them to you. `Swiss America is a company that, over the last number of years, has proved to be very reputable. The only thing I regret is that I don't have more money to invest in these beautiful gold coins. I'm really excited about it!"
"Leery of the Stock Market"
"We were both leery of stock market. It seemed that if we made money, it was kind of by accident. I couldn't see any logic to it. We watched it for a while and then just decided to get out. Then what? What do you do? So, we put it in coins and at least it will hold its value. It was something to try to protect the money that I scratched together over the years. What gets me about the gold coins is how beautiful they are, how pretty they are. There seems to be somewhat of an attraction towards gold, like there is sitting around looking at a campfire--like they take us back to our roots or our ancestors or something. They are encapsulated so they can't get scuffed or roughed up."
"Do Yourself a Random Act of Kindness"
"Call the people at Swiss America. They very patiently answered all my questions, sent me cassette tapes and literature, and most importantly, I received my coins immediately. Furthermore, these coins are one of the only tangible assets I own that cannot be touched by the government. So do yourself a random act of kindness and call the folks at Swiss America you'll be glad you did!"
